Microsoft Visual Basic PDF Print E-mail

If you want to know more about the programming language with which a program manages to write an application, you need to understand that the program which he's using is known as Visual Basic, and it happens to be one of the most popular and easy to use and learn programming languages going in the IT field today.

Visual Basic is normally used in the creation of controls for ActiveX, as well as its subjects, data objects for ActiveX, objects for data access etc. However, in an Excel program, Visual Basic is used for making sure that the components of an application are put together by a programmer, and it is also used in the recording of macros.

Now, for example I have just switched on the Microsoft Excel worksheet. There happened to be plenty of functions and keystrokes as well as mouse commands, which I have been doing repeatedly for a long time, because my work profile consists of work and actions done again and again, for example, analysis, of the data collected etc.

I am going to apply a macro format to a repeated example and create a very simple macro, which is going to format a cell and then see if the macro can do even more functions, which I used to repeat again and again throughout the day. The way in which the macro is regarded happens to be done by Visual Basic for applications, and I can use it for many sorts of procedures like recording different text of macros which are going to do many sorts of tasks like to filtering and retrieving data, customizing charts and creating them and many more actions.

The easiest way for doing the recording of a macro with Visual Basics for applications, is done in the following manner, I am part of a group of accountants, who have a simple job of tracking all the accounts which have been received by the company. Every single month I and my colleagues get together and make a compilation of all the amounts which are overdue formatted in a bold font and red color, before I submit them in a report to the manager. This action happens to be so repetitive, that plenty of time and plenty of energy are going to be saved if I just learned how to record a macro. I just have to click on the cell which is going to be formatted in the workbook in which I have noted down all the received accounts and overdue accounts. Then I go to the tools menu and open up Macro. And then click upon Record.

That means a new macro is going to be recorded, regarding every single action, from then on, until I ask the recording to stop. In the dialog box, the name of the macro is typed down without any spaces. The moment I clicked on OK, there is an appearance of a toolbar to show that the recording has begun. I press upon the cells, format, color, border, and then click OK. Stop recording means the macro has been recorded.
